Carjacker gang busted, two held

In a major breakthrough, the Gurgaon police today busted an inter-state gang of carjackers by arresting two of its active members. HT reports.

In a major breakthrough, the Gurgaon police on Friday busted an inter-state gang of carjackers by arresting two of its active members.

The police also recovered two country-made pistol, two live cartridges, one motorcycle and two trucks.

According to the police, the accused have been identified as Fazaardin (24) alias Fazar and Kasam (25) native of Nagina, Mewat.

The city court sent the accused in four days’ police remand on Friday.

More than 50 trucks and tractors were targeted by this gang. The vehicles were sold in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan and Haryana.

Acting on a tip-off, the Bilaspur crime team-6 arrested two persons, who were planning to take away a marbel-laden truck near Pachgaon on Thursday night.

In resistance, the accused opened fire at the team and tried to flee on a motorbike.

According to the police, the accused have confessed to their offence of committing 50 thefts.

While interrogation, they accepted they used to sell the stolen vehicles at a high amount using forged documents.

DCP Rajesh Duggal said, “A team has been sent to recover the sold vehicles. They have snatched vehicles from Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi and UP.”
