A ruckus was witnessed outside the Guru Dronacharya Metro station in Gurgaon after some autorickshaw drivers allegedly manhandled a woman on Tuesday night.

The woman from Punjab, who had come to Gurgaon along with her husband and friends, said the incident took place around 9:15pm.
The woman said she was about to board an autorickshaw when some auto drivers came there and started roughing up the driver of her auto, accusing him of ferrying passengers out of turn. When she tried to intervene, the auto drivers attacked her as well.
“The autorickshaw drivers beat me up and no one came to my help. I called the police,” she said.
Her husband Kanwar Deep Singh said when he tried to stop the drivers, they attacked him as well.
“We tried to save the auto driver from the other drivers, but they beat us up,” Singh said.
Meanwhile, the men accompanying the woman damaged some autorickshaws.
The men also had a heated argument with the security guards of the metro stations.
An officer from the DLF phase 1 police station said they did receive a call about a clash between
autorickshaw drivers and some men at the spot.
“We were informed through the police control room. By the time we reached the spot, the men had left the spot. Some three-wheelers were damaged in the incident,” he said.
