Gurgaon-Manesar draft plan notified

The Haryana government has invited objections from the general public against the draft development plan of the Gurgaon-Manesar Urban Complex-2031 that has been notified and published in Haryana government gazette on September 4.

The Haryana government has invited objections from the general public against the draft development plan of the Gurgaon-Manesar Urban Complex-2031 that has been notified and published in Haryana government gazette on September 4.

Objections and suggestions can be submitted to the Director General, Town and Country Planning, Haryana, by October 3.

The Gurgaon Manesar Draft Development Plan-2031 has been made for the projected population of 42.50 lakh. A total of 33,276 hectares has also been proposed, including 16,010 hectares for residential use, 1,616 for commercial activities, 4,613 for industries, 4,420 for transport and communication and 626 hectares for public utilities.

Similarly, 2,035 hectares for public and semi public (institutional), 2,775 hectares as open spaces, 114 for special zone and 633 hectares as defence land have been proposed. Besides this, 406 hectares for existing towns and 478 for village ‘abadis’ have been proposed.

According to the main features, 215 hectares has been reserved for a government university in Sector 68. Seven new residential sectors — 36A, 88A, 88B, 89A, 95A, 95B, 99A and part of sectors 37D and 68 are also proposed in the plan.
