Gurgaon: Sultanpur National Park shuts down for a week

Following the bird flu scare in Delhi and Hisar in Haryana, the authorities at the Sultanpur National Park on Saturday decided to shut down the park for a week.

Following the bird flu scare in Delhi and Hisar in Haryana, the authorities at the Sultanpur National Park on Saturday decided to shut down the park for a week.

The wildlife officials, however, have not confirmed any bird deaths at the park so far, though sources said that few birds have died at the park leading to the decision.

On the other hand, the park has also witnessed reduced influx of migratory birds by about 50% as compared to last year, probably due to a rise in pollutants and prevailing smog.
