Man booked for raping minor daughter over three years
The victim’s mother lodged a complaint after learning of her ordeal
A man was booked for allegedly raping his minor daughter for over a period of three years. The victim narrated the incident to her mother, who lodged a complaint with Gurgaon police. The police has registered a case under the Pocso Act and arrested the accused on Wednesday.

Medical examination of the victim confirmed rape.
A case was registered under section 6 of the Pocso Act and Section 506 of the Indian Penal Code against the accused at the Sadar police station on the complaint of the girl. She was being harassed allegedly by her father for over three years. She was also allegdly threatened by the accused if she told about it to anyone. Police officials said the accused is a resident of Sector 37 and worked as a machine tool operator in a factory.

The victim’s mother confirmed that she learned of the ordeal from her daughter.
The victim claimed when she resisted or asked her father to stop indulging in such acts, he threatened to kill her, the police said.
“We are questioning the accused. Our investigation is on,” said Vijay Kumar, SHO, Sadar police station.
