Sanjay Bajaj, manager with Dental Hydraulic Limited, Sector 5, told the police that he received an email in September informing him that he had been selected for a cash prize of 5,00,000 Pounds (Rs. 3.5 crore) in a lucky draw.

He was asked to deposit Rs. 5.5 lakh as the processing fee in the bank account mentioned in the email.

Bajaj deposited the money but even after waiting for a month, he did not receive the prize money.

Bajaj lodged a complaint with the cyber crime cell in October.

A case has been registered against unidentified persons. The police are investigating.
