In majority of cases, the thieves smashed the car’s windows to lift the audio system. More than 15 such cases have been reported in the last three days. The police have registered cases against unidentified people and are inquiring the security guards of the area.

On September 15, thieves broke the windows of seven cars in Sector 22B. The cars were parked outside houses and the thieves struck during the night hours. The damaged cars include a Scorpio SUV, Maruti Swift and a Maruti Zen.

Subhash Yadav, resident of Sector 22B, told the police that thieves damaged his two cars and stole the audio systems.
