Set up sexual harassment panel in government offices: Meena

The deputy commissioner of Gurgaon, PC Meena, on Thursday directed senior government officials in the district to constitute a committee to deal with sexual harassment cases in their respective offices.

The deputy commissioner of Gurgaon, PC Meena, on Thursday directed senior government officials in the district to constitute a committee to deal with sexual harassment cases in their respective offices.

Meena said the committee should have two female employees and a male employee as its members. The committee should probe into all complaints of eve-teasing of harassment and swift action be taken against those found guilty. He asked the officers to send a report to him after constituting a committee.

The deputy commissioner also directed the officers to install CCTV cameras around the Mini Secretariat. These cameras will be directly connected to police control room, he said. CCTV cameras are already functional inside the Mini Secretariat building.

Meena drew the attention of the officers towards illegal borewells and said the concerned officers should ensure that there are no open borewell or manhole in their jurisdiction.
