Six-month-old dies, parents injured as mini-truck hits bike on Gurugram-Faridabad road
According to the police, the incident took place around 4.15 pm on Saturday near the toll barrier in Gwal Pahari, when the side of a mini-truck, headed towards Faridabad, brushed against their motorcycle.
A six-month-old boy was killed and his parents injured after a mini-truck hit the motorcycle that they were riding on Gurugram-Faridabad road on Saturday, police said.

His parents escaped with minor injuries, police said.
The victims are residents of Gurgaon Gaon located in old Gurugram, police said.
According to the police, the incident took place around 4.15 pm on Saturday near the toll barrier in Gwal Pahari, when the side of a mini-truck, headed towards Faridabad, brushed against their motorcycle.
Sub-inspector Vinay, in charge of Gwal Pahari police post, said such was the impact of the collision that the motorcycle fell on the side of the road.
“The man and his wife, who was holding the infant in her arms, fell on the road and sustained injuries. The infant was taken to a private hospital where he died while undergoing treatment. The parents’ injuries are not serious,” said Vinay, who goes by his first name.
Police said the unidentified driver of the mini-truck is at large.
“We are trying to secure the CCTV footage of the area to nab the accused. Prima facie, he was driving a Tata Magic commercial vehicle,” Vinay said.
A case has been registered against the accused under sections 279 (rash driving), 304 A (death by negligence) and 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) of Indian Penal Code at DLF Phase 1 police station, police said.
