Forget push-up bras, padded bras or even silicon implants. Botox boob lift is the new and seemingly simpler way to get a buxom bosom.

Forget push-up bras, padded bras or even silicon implants. Botox boob lift is the new and seemingly simpler way to get a buxom bosom or so say doctors, who’re noticing a sudden rise in the botox boob lift job in the recent past.

Wondering how is it different from Mestopexy or breast augmentation. Dr Ajaya Kashyap, head of the department of cosmetic Surgery at Fortis, elaborates, "The treatment involves injecting botox in specific areas. It lifts sagging breasts and gives them volume." However, it’s a temporary solution, warns cosmetic surgeon Dr Charu Sharma of Gorgeous Looks Clinic. "The effects last for about three to four months only, and then again one has to repeat the dose of injections. Still, I get four to five queries on it every month from women in the age group of 30-45," she says.

The increase in this latest trend has got the cosmetic surgeons cash box ringing. “The non-surgical, no hospital stay and no scar aspects attracts everyone. The less than one hour of treatment costs anywhere between Rs 35,000 to Rs 50,000 per sitting,” says cosmetic surgeon Dr Tapeshwar Sehgal, Mata Chanan Devi Hospital.

However, the treatment is not yet a FDA (Food and drug Association) approved procedure. “Though it’s a painless procedure, it’s still not FDA approved,” says Dr Navin Taneja of National Skin Centre.
