1 Be interactive: If you expect others to read your blogs, spare some time to read theirs too. Comment on other blogs with honest feedback, and leave a link to yours if you’ve posted something relevant to the topic.

2 Responsive approach: If a reader leaves a comment on your posts, do respond. It will help you connect better with your followers and eventually, grow your network. And of course, it’s courteous to do so.

3 Write frequently: This will keep the readers hooked on, and will be better for search engines too. Blogs that are not updated frequently rank low in search engines.

4 Add value: Readers may hit on your blog but they should find it worth coming back to. So, write content that adds value to the reader. Research before working on a post, include interesting facts and package it well with relevant pictures, formatting and language.

5 Categorise your posts: Register with an online blogging network that gets you readership and exposure instantly. Properly categories and tag your posts, so that people are able to find your blog easily.
