R&B star Beyonce is preparing to take her life story to the big screen by directing and starring in her own documentary film.

R&B star Beyonce is preparing to take her life story to the big screen by directing and starring in her own documentary film.

The 30-year-old is following in the footsteps of other artists including Justin Bieber and Katy Perry by making her own movie, but she will step behind the camera to direct the project herself, reported Contactmusic.

Beyonce will also serve as a producer on the film, which will document her entertainment career and life behind the scenes through interviews and concert footage.

Fans were previously treated to a glimpse into the singer/actress' world in mini-documentary 'Beyonce: Year of 4'.
