A year after his Italian escapade, To Rome with Love, Woody Allen put his bags down in San Francisco for a while to shoot this comedy starring Cate Blanchett as an uptight New York snob whose life falls apart.
Posted on Yahoo!Movies, the trailer sums up the movie's premise: Cate Blanchett plays Jasmine, a woman on the verge of a nervous breakdown after splitting up with her rich boyfriend, who turned out to be a crook. Broke, depressed and in need of consolation, she moves in with her smart sister (played by British actress Sally Hawkins), who inhabits the working-class world of San Francisco.
Blue Jasmine is coming out in North America on July 26.
