The latest in a series of television spots for The Dark Knight Rises, starring Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway, were released May 27 and 28, revealing more footage and more storyline.
Unlike the trend with some films this summer of providing teasers of upcoming trailers, these 30-second spots are part of a campaign including excerpts of scenes with characters as well as lots of explosions and Batman in action, with a new poster to match the action.
Wayne Enterprises inventor Lucius Fox, played by Morgan Freeman, shows his new gadgets, wondering how Batman can retire with such clever gizmos to play with, including his fancy flying Batmobile.
The crime thriller also features the director Christopher Nolan's Inception co-stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tom Hardy, who plays the film's villain Bane.
The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 19-20 in Australia, the UK, India, North America and Asian markets. Then it debuts July 25-27 in France, Brazil, Mexico, Japan, and European and Latin American territories, followed by Lebanon and Greece in August.
