Game of Thrones’ Ser Jaime Lannister, actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, is suing ex-manager Jill Littman for fraud, claiming she’s seeking commissions from HBO hit series that she is not owed. According to Hollywood Reporter, the actor said Littman and Impression Entertainment asked him to sign a contract earlier but finally decided on an oral contract according to which they will get 10 per cent of his pay for employment obtained while she represented him.
They now disagree on whether that payment should continue even after she stopped representing him. After Coster-Waldau fired Littman and stopped payments, Impression started arbitration proceedings.
Littman claims she has written deals which say that she would be paid even after she stops representing the actor. Coster-Waldau, however, insists they are “sham” documents that he signed believing their sole purpose was supporting Impression’s sponsorship of his O-1 visa.
The actor also asked the court for a temporary restraining order asking Impression from proceeding with the arbitration.
Meanwhile, Littman filed a declaration and said, “I am disappointed that, in addition to reneging on his contractual obligation to pay Impression for the hard work for which he expressed his gratitude many times, he has chosen to try to publicize our issues instead of to abide by the arbitration agreement to which he willingly and knowingly consented.”
