Jessica Chastain is reportedly the first choice to play Jane in a new version of Tarzan.
Alexander Skarsgard is rumoured to be in the running to play the titular character in the Warner Bros. reboot, the New York Post reported.
In the new story, Tarzan is fully assimilated to life in London when Queen Victoria asks him to investigate problems in Congo.
According to reports, Samuel L. Jackson will play a former mercenary, who helps Tarzan save the Congo from a vicious warlord.
David Yates, who directed four Harry Potter movies, will be helming the project.
