Katherine Heigl to forestall terrorist attack in Survivor

This feature film is Heigl's big chance to slip away from her usual romantic comedies and into the skin of a bona fide heroine in an anti-terrorism thriller. In Survivor she'll be playing an employee and sole survivor of an attack on the US embassy in London. She has to prove her innocence and
elude professional killers while thwarting another strike planned for New Year's Eve.
Australian filmmaker James McTeigue, who made V for Vendetta (2006) and Ninja Assassin (2009), will be directing the film for Nu Image. The production company will be presenting the project to professionals in just a few days at the Marché du Film on the sidelines of the 66th Cannes Film Festival.
