Even before the third instalment of animated feature film Madagascar has hit the screens, rumour mills are abuzz that the fourth instalment will be a musical.

Even before the third instalment of animated feature film Madagascar has hit the screens, rumour mills are abuzz that the fourth instalment will be a musical.
"Work on the next instalment is definitely being considered. The films have been a great success and have become a franchise," said an insider.
The fourth edition might be a musical, with three new characters in place.
In the meantime, Madagascar 3 is ready for release June 8.
