Not so funny after all

He may be the funniest man on screen, but in real life, Hollywood actor Adam Sandler is quite a serious guy. In Cancun, Mexico for a press meet, Sandler says he wants to make more time for his family, and has had his share of big laughs as a kid.

“I would do John Wayne. And a couple other old-timers, but then, when I would put the babushka on my head and come in as my grandmother … that always brought the house down.”

As the 44-year-old actor prepares to play the role of his own twin sister in the upcoming film Jack & Jill, will he be doing impressions of his family to get the act right? “No. No. No. Mostly because I love them, and a lot of them also would hit me. My sister is stronger than me and my brother is bigger than me. Even though my father’s no more, I have a fear of the ghost coming back and beating the shit out of me, so I just stay as nice as I can,” he says.

But isn’t making fun of people the reason why his films have grossed over $3 billion? "I don’t really mock anybody you know. We all do make fun of the certain habits we have, but no, I don’t sit and mock too many people."
