Gosling finally stepped back into the spotlight on Friday, making his first public appearance since becoming a father. He and his wife, actor Eva Mendes, 40, welcomed their daughter Sep 12.

Known as one of Hollywood's biggest and most talented actors, Gosling, 33, was sure to attract attention while returning to work on set of The Nice Guys in Atlanta, Georgia, reports dailymail.co.uk.

But the actor was in disguise, sporting a mustache and goatee beard to take on the role of Holland March, a 1970's private detective. He was also wearing a retro-inspired suit, patterned blouse and striped tie.

He put his vintage look together with a dress belt, brown boots and squared aviators, with his dark blonde locks combed back.
