Ryan Gosling, Rooney Mara, Michael Fassbender and Natalie Portman star in Terence Malick’s Song to Song, a romantic drama about two musicians, a music industry executive, and a restaurant waitress.

Song to Song will premiere at the annual SXSW festival on March 10 -- a week before it goes on general release.

“We thought we could just roll and tumble, live from song to song, kiss to kiss,” the trailer tells us, as romance appears to become consumed by manipulation and betrayal.

The film is also noted for its many cameos by active musicians including Iggy Pop, Iron & Wine, Lykke Li, Patti Smith and Florence Welch.
