What’s the delay? Tom Hiddleston hasn’t been approached for James Bond
The star said that the Bond speculation had surfaced after his acclaimed portrayal of John Le Carré’s character in the hit BBC adaption earlier this year.
Actor Tom Hiddleston has played down rumours over playing the next James Bond, saying “no one has talked to me about it”.

Hiddleston, who got acclaim for his role as an undercover agent Jonathan Pine in The Night Manager, downplayed his chances of playing the ultimate spy role of 007 during a pre-recorded appearance on Friday night’s The Graham Norton Show, reports dailymail.co.uk.
Speaking to show host Graham Norton, Hiddleston, 35, said: “The thing is the position isn’t vacant as far as I am aware. No one has talked to me about it.”

He said: “I think the rumours have all come about because in The Night Manager I play a spy and people have made the link.”
