Last week Sarah Jessica Parker confirmed that any possibility of a third movie is officially “over.”

If you are a Sex and A City fan, there’s bad news for you. And if you thought that you heard the worst possible news about the series when actor Sarah Jessica Parker, who is the protagonist of the series and also its producer, ruled out the possibility of a third instalment in the film franchise, you were wrong. Now, Sarah and actor Kim Catrall, who plays one of the three friends of Carrie Bradshaw (essayed by Sarah), have begun to blame each other for the next instalment being shelved.

After Sarah Jessica Parker informed everyone about not doing the film, there were reports that actor Kim Catrall, who played the role of Samantha in the franchise, was “negotiating as recently as this summer”, but did not get on board, because she was not satisfied with the offer.

On Monday however, in an interview with English journalist Piers Morgan, Kim not only rubbished the reports but also, went on to accuse Sarah Jessica Parker, of not being “nicer” when the latter refused all the possibilities of a third film instalment.

“I never asked for any money, I never asked for any projects. To be thought of as some kind of diva is absolutely ridiculous. And this is really where I take to task the people from Sex and the City, and specifically Sarah Jessica Parker, in that I think she could have been nicer,” she was quoted as saying.

But a source close to Sarah, who essayed the role of Carrie over the course of six seasons, and reprised the same in the two films, insists that Kim is the real culprit behind the shelving of the project. “Kim is trying to distract from what this is about — which is this: Kim killed the movie. It’s no secret that the women have had their issues over the years.” says a source. “They are all very talented. But I don’t think it’s ever been easy,” a source was quoted as saying by People.com.
