Amidst break-up rumours Sydney Sweeney calls off wedding with fiance; fans notice she deleted couple's photo from Insta
Actor Sydney Sweeney has reportedly called off her wedding with fiance Jonathan Davino as the couple are reassesing their relationship.
Hollywood actress Sydney Sweeney and her fiancé, Jonathan Davino, have encountered significant challenges in their relationship, leading them to call off their wedding, according to a recent report by Us Weekly.

“Sydney and Jonathan have been having major issues but are not fully split,” an insider was quoted as saying. “Things are not great right now, but they aren’t throwing in the towel yet. They are working on their relationship but have called off the wedding for now.”
Sweeney, 27, and Davino, 41, were first linked in 2018 before getting engaged four years later. However, the source claims that all preparations for their wedding have now come “to a halt.”
“They were supposed to get married this spring. The wedding is not happening, and they aren’t having further discussions about it,” the insider stated. “Sydney wanted to cancel everything and couldn’t handle the stress.”
The primary source of tension in their relationship, according to the insider, appears to stem from Sweeney’s demanding work commitments. “Most of their issues stem from Sydney being extremely busy with work commitments,” the source continued. “She doesn’t have a lot of downtime, and it causes tension in their relationship. Sydney is really focused on her career. Jonathan wishes they were able to spend more quality time together.”
Sweeney’s intense dedication to her film and television projects has reportedly exacerbated the strain between the couple.
Further fuelling speculation about their relationship status, Sweeney has seemingly removed a once-beloved memory from her social media, prompting fans to question whether the pair have indeed broken up. Internet sleuths noticed that a particular image, previously part of the Euphoria star’s celebratory New Year’s Instagram post, is now missing.
The original carousel, shared on January 2, featured a snapshot of Sweeney and Davino sharing a kiss while their friends laughed in the background. However, the image has since been removed. The remaining post retains its caption: “The last few days of 2024 will forever be some of my favourite.”
While Sweeney has yet to publicly address the speculation, she recently spoke to Cosmopolitan about her decision to keep her personal life private.
“I think that it’s really important to keep my personal life personal,” she explained. “I became an actor because I loved playing characters. I loved creating stories and jumping in and learning everything that I could about other people. I never really thought that people would be interested in Sydney. I thought that they’d want to see my character, and so I want to keep it about the work.”
As rumours of a potential split continue to circulate, fans eagerly await further updates on the couple’s future.
