740 autos and 20 buses for disabled voters in Thane

Within Thane district, there are 7,945 specially-abled persons. The Thane election portal has listed contact numbers of volunteers who will help with the services.

The Thane district election commission has arranged for 740 autos and 20 buses, which will ply for specially-abled voters, on April 29. There will two bus services each on 10 ring routes. Each bus will have someone to assist the voters. The announcement was made by district election office along with the Thane Municipal Transport on Saturday. “If needed, we shall add more services. On April 29, these buses will ply on a ring route in each constituency and cater to specially-abled voters,” said Rajesh Narvekar, Thane district collector.
