Fresh trends show AAP's Durgesh Pathak leading with 3,275 votes; BJP second with 1,651 votes.

In the Rampur Lok Sabha seat, BJP candidate Ghanshyam Lodhi takes lead over SP candidate Asim Raza by 500 votes in the second round.

A tough contest between SP candidate Dharmendra Yadav and BJP candidate Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirahua in the Azamgarh Lok Sabha seat. In the third round, BJP candidate takes the lead of around 1,000 votes over the SP candidate.

Samajwadi Party candidate Asim Raza leads from Rampur Lok Sabha seat over his nearest rival Ghanshyam Lodhi of BJP by 800 votes after the first round of counting.

Samajwadi Party candidate Dharmendra Yadav leads from Azamgarh Lok Sabha after the second round counting.

As early trends emerge, BJP is leading in Tripura in Town Bordowali seat. Here is where the parties stand in the initial rounds of counting.

"We have made all the arrangements for the exercise. The strong room is fully secured with a three-tier security cover. The counting centre has been set up at ITI Pusa. Postal ballots will be counted first, and only those ballots which have been received from service voters till 8 am on June 26 will be considered for counting. After that the EVM votes shall be counted," a senior official had said on Saturday.

Simranjit Singh Mann of SAD (A) is leading in the initial round of counting with 2,622 votes. AAP's Gurmail Singh got 1,766 votes while Congress' Dalvir Singh Goldy 482, SAD's Kamaldeep Kaur got 394 votes and BJP's Kewal Singh Dhillon got 396 votes

As the counting of the bypolls is going on, all eyes are on Uttar Pradesh because of Rampur and Azamgarh Lok Sabha constituencies. The bypolls were necessitated due to the resignations of Samajwadi Party (SP)chief Akhilesh Yadav and party leader Azam Khan from Azamgarh and Rampur seats, respectively.

In Rampur, the BJP fielded Ghanshyam Singh Lodhi against Asim Raja, handpicked by Azam Khan. The Bahujan Samaj Party is not contesting from Rampur.

The Azamgarh seat saw a triangular contest among the BJP's Dinesh Lal Yadav 'Nirhua', a Bhojpuri actor-singer, the SP's Dharmendra Yadav and the BSP's Shah Alam, also known as Guddu Jamali.

1. 4 Assembly seats went to the bypolls on June 23 -- Agartala, Town Bordowali, Surma and Jubrajnagar.

2. An overall 78.58% turnout was reported.

3. The by-polls became necessitated with the departure of three BJP legislators, Sudip Roy Barman, Asish Kumar Saha and Asish Das and the demise of CPM legislator Ramendra Chandra Nath.

4. Barman and Asish Saha joined Congress and contested from their home turfs, Agartala and Town Bordowali constituencies in the by-poll. Asish Das, initially joined Trinamool Congress and later quit the party.

As the counting of votes for 10 seats begins, the postal ballots will be counted now.

Dekhi's Rajinder Nagar, the seat earlier held by AAP's Raghav Chadha, saw a reduction in voting percentage, from 58.3% in 2020 to 43.75%. AAP's Durgesh Pathak is locked in a fight with BJP's Rajesh Bhatia. Read full story here.
