Cyclone Mocha highlights: Mocha forming over the Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a very severe storm by Friday where wind speeds can reach 130 kmph.

Several units of Indian Coast Guard (ICG) have been placed on high alert after the warning of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) for cyclonic storm 'Mocha'.  IMD on Wednesday predicted that the depression over the southeast Bay of Bengal moved northwestwards and is likely to move north-northwestwards and intensify gradually into a cyclonic storm over the same region. It further the movement of the depression is very likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm by Friday, May 12 where wind speeds can reach 130 kmph, over the southeast and adjoining central Bay of Bengal.
