As Anil Kapoor asked George Clooney about how he almost killed the franchise, he said he 'did the best that he could'. 

Anil Kapoor tells George Clooney how great his perfomance in Up in the Air and Descendants was. The actor said that one ‘cannot make a good film with a bad script.’

Anil Kapoor told George Clooney how he is still processing becoming a grandpa. He told him that his grandson is named Vayu and he took him out for a stroll in London recently.

George Clooney is in conversation with Anil Kapoor. The Hollywood star calls him 29 year old rockstar.

I'm going to continue to represent my constituency in West London. I have got some projects, I'm writing some books. I'm going to continue to push for the things I believe in -- supporting the people of Ukraine, helping them defend against the invasion.

Boris Johnson on immigration:"We should not let immigration be the problem. What matters with immigration is the public sense that it is controlled. People are not xenophobic or hostile to people from abroad. They want a sense that the government that they elect is in control of what is happening. "

Boris Johnson on China:"When it comes to critical national infrastructure, we in the UK have learnt a very tough lesson. We went through a period of starry eyed idealism. And we thought we could have a golden era. We let China invest in civil nuclear, in 5G network. We then concluded that what was attractive in some ways was a risk that we simply couldn't take. And we have to undo it."

"China is giant fact of our lives. UK and India have massive trade relations with China. It is fifth of humanity. We have to work with China. We have to try to engage with China. But we also have to be very wary."

Johnson on Ukraine war:"People think that Ukraine's was going to join NATO and Putin had reasons to think he was being militarily encircled. It's nonsense. Absolute hogwash. “You want to know why Putin invaded Ukraine? Read his essay of July last year. He basically believes that Ukraine is not a real country”

Johnson: "We are a very ingenious bunch, and when it comes to energy I think we are gonna be able to get the price under control and bring it down with solutions that solves our economic problems but also political problems and dependency on Putin's hydrocarbons."

“We're already starting to see effects of climate change. In July, temperature in London exceeded 40 degrees. That's not normal for The british.. They cannot take decisions in that kind of heat which may even explain some of the curious political convulsions. Many things for which I blame global warming.. But who knows what future historians may decide.”

On vaccine, Boris Johnson says,"It was our two democracies that came together to distribute billions of doses of vaccines around the world. It was UK scientists who came up with Astrazenac, invented in Oxford and produced by Poonawalla's Serum Institute in india.. It produced such enormous quantities that we used it in Ukraine and I am personally beneficiary of Astrazenaca and have not had Covid since."

Johnson says, “One of the reasons we had a successful vaccine rollout was because we had an independent medical health research agency... We had the first approved vaccine in anybody's arms anywhere in the world”.

Johnson says, "Given the tension we're seeing across APAC region and obvious co-relation with what's happening in Ukraine and Taiwan in South China Sea .. It is ever more vital that we two democracies work together for economic health and collective stability.

Johnson says Putin's war will affect military exports around the world

Johnson says “we don't think we need to worry about how Putin will mange his defeat. He is after all master of propaganda."

Boris Johnson makes three predictions, one of them – Putin will lose the war in Ukraine "and deservedly so."

He also predicts that the war in Ukraine will "severely weaken Russia and greatly strengthen China."

In her welcome address, Bhartia highlights the challenges the world is facing today amid a pandemic and conflicts, and says 'good leadership most often the answer'.

The opening speaker for the day, former UK PM Boris Johnson has arrived at the venue amid a huge round of applause.
