According to the police, the incident happened at their house at Panjesha area on February 6, when 14-year Faizan Bin Khalid had lost the Ludo (snake-and-ladder) game to his younger cousin (11) and the latter heckled him for losing the game. An agitated Faizan slapped his cousin, who retaliated with punches.
“In the quarrel, the younger one indiscriminately punched Faizan in his chest and the latter collapsed and went into coma. He was immediately rushed to Princess Esra Hospital, where he succumbed on Sunday,” Mirchowk police inspector P Siva Bhaskar said.
It is not immediately known whether Faizan had any health problems before. The police booked a case against the 11-year-old boy for culpable homicide under IPC 304.
