He has also invited the consortium of cyber security companies under Israel Aviation Industry to set up base in Haryana which houses top 200 companies in the world, it said.

During the discussions, officials from IAI evinced keen interest in the aviation hub and agreed to visit Hisar next month, it added.

The IAI has entered into USD $ 1 billion contract with the Indian government, under which it is obliged to invest or procure 30% material from the local market. The officials assured to explore Haryana as top priority.

Khattar also visited the manufacturing plant of Unmanned Ariel Vehicle (UAV) and jets and invited IAI to set up ancillary units in the proposed Hisar Aviation Hub.

Highlighting Hisar’s proximity to Delhi International Airport, Khattar said the place had less humid atmosphere which is vital for UAV and other defence materials.

He said Hisar aviation hub enjoyed a strategic geographical location and could be made into a manufacturing base for Israeli aviation industry from where the entire south-eastern market can be served.

Khattar also led a delegation of Haryana Police officers who held interactions with their Israeli counterparts.

The visit of the delegation is aimed to learn from Israeli experts how law and order machinery can be improved to check crime and beef up security and intelligence network of the Haryana Police.

The delegation also visited headquarters of the United Hatzalah of Israel, along with the chief minister. United Hatzalah runs emergency rescue operations across Israel based on volunteers.
