However, Jammu and Kashmir and Maharashtra reported lower turnouts, with 36.58 per cent and 52.63 per cent respectively. This turnout marks the highest recorded in several decades. Comparatively, voter participation in Srinagar stood at 40.94% in 1996, 30.06% in 1998, 11.93% in 1999, 18.57% in 2004, 25.55% in 2009, 25.86% in 2014, and 14.43% in 2019.
