A bench of justices Navin Chawla and Ravinder Dudeja passed the direction on September 18 while hearing the contempt proceedings against the man – Adeeshwar Singhal.
“We direct the CBI to issue a Red Corner Notice through INTERPOL against the respondent for securing his presence in compliance of our orders, including the non-bailable warrants,” the court directed.
This came after Singhal joined the proceedings through video conference but allegedly engaged in disruptive conduct.
The court directed the ministry of external affairs to inform authorities in the United States, where his IP address was traced, about the NBWs against Singhal.
The court has directed Singhal to appear in person at the next hearing on December 9.
