Prime Minister Narendra Modi gifted on Friday projects worth more than Rs 1,000 crore to his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi, and flagged off the Mahamana Express to Vadodara at an event organised at a newly-constructed trade centre and crafts museum.
The PM’s visit to his parliamentary constituency comes six months after the BJP won a landslide victory in the assembly elections. During campaigning for the polls, he held three back-to-back road shows in Varanasi.
On Saturday, Modi will inaugurate a livestock heath fair at Shahanshahpur village in his parliamentary constituency. He will also attend a sanitation programme in the village.
