Major fire breaks out in huts near Harbour Line route in Mumbai; Bandra–Mahim train services hit
As per preliminary reports, no injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains unknown as authorities manage the situation.
A major fire broke out in huts close to the Harbour line local train tracks in Dharavi area of Mumbai on Saturday afternoon, leading to the temporary suspension of train services on the affected stretch, officials said.
Nobody was injured as per the preliminary information.
The fire in the huts located inside the Navrang Compound on the 60-foot road broke out at 12.30 pm.

Officials stated that there were no reports of injuries. With the blaze raging beside the railway corridor, local train services between Bandra and Mahim were temporarily suspended as a precaution, PTI reported.
The cause of the fire and the scale of damage remain unclear, authorities said.
According to a Western Railway spokesperson, power to the overhead electrical equipment was cut off after flames were spotted in shanties adjacent to the Up Harbour Line on the eastern side between Mahim and Bandra at around 12.15 pm. Train movement on the route has been regulated until the situation is brought under control.
“There is no risk to passengers or trains, as services have been halted at a safe distance from the affected spot,” the spokesperson added.
