President Ram Nath Kovind arrives in Shimla
On May 21, Kovind, who is on a five-day tour in Himachal, will attend the annual convocation of Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, where he will award degrees to 470 students.
President Ram Nath Kovind arrived in Shimla on Sunday. He will stay at President’s Retreat in Charabra and will be accompanied by his family members.
Governor Acharya Devvrat will host a dinner party for the President later in the day. On May 21, Kovind, who is on a five-day tour in Himachal, will attend the annual convocation of Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, where he will award degrees to 470 students.
Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur and his cabinet colleagues will also join the President over tea on the same day. Next day, an ‘At Home’ ceremony will be held at the President’s Retreat and the state government will organise a function to honour him at Peterhoff hotel.
