Sonia Gandhi recovers, discharged from hospital

Congress president Sonia Gandhi was discharged from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital (SGRH) on Wednesday, two days after she was admitted to the facility for fever.

“Gandhi has recovered from fever and has been discharged in stable condition,” Arup Kumar Basu, senior Consultant at the Department of Chest and Pulmonology Medicine, said.

69-year-old Gandhi was discharged around 11.30 a.m.

She was admitted to the hospital around 8 p.m. on November 28.

Earlier in August, she was hospitalised for 12 days after she had fallen ill during a roadshow in Varanasi and was also operated upon for a shoulder injury.
