Two policemen injured in grenade attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Sopore

The Station House Officer (SHO) of Dangiwacha Muddasir Ahmad and his escort were injured, police said.

Two policemen were injured in a grenade attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Sopore town on Thursday. The incident took place around 10.30 am in Warpora area of Sopore.

The Station House Officer (SHO) of Dangiwacha Muddasir Ahmad and his escort were injured, police said. Both of them have been transferred to a hospital.

Militants lobbed a grenade at a security forces party at main chowk area of Sopore, PTI quoted a police official as saying.

Officials said that search and cordon operations are underway at three places in Kashmir. Hajin in Bandipore, Warpora and Kalantra in Baramulla district. Mobile internet has been suspended in the area.
