Australia are 0-2 in the five-match series against India. Heading into the Indore ODI, the odds against them are heavily stacked. Virat Kohli’s Indian cricket team have won seven consecutive ODIs while Australia have lost 10 out of their last 12 overseas ODIs. (IND vs AUS 3rd ODI Preview)

Indore is considered as a fortress for the Indian cricket team and Virat Kohli’s men are favorites to seal a hat-trick of bilateral ODI series wins against Australia in India. These are the numbers that explain why Indore is considered to be such a lucky venue for India.

4 - Number of matches played at India at the Holkar stadium and the scoreline is 4-0. It is the only venue currently where India have remained unbeaten after playing more than two games.

418 - India’s highest ODI score and it was achieved at the Holkar stadium in 2011 against west Indies when Virender Sehwag smashed 219.

2 - India have crossed a total of 400 in ODIs five times, with two scores of 400 in Madhya Pradesh. In 2010, India reached 401/3 against South Africa in Gwalior, a match which saw Sachin Tendulkar smash the first double ton in ODIs. In fact, Madhya Pradesh has seen two batsmen score two double tons, with Sehwag’s 219 and Sachin Tendulkar’s 200.

107 - MS Dhoni’s average in Indore from two games. In his recent knock against South Africa in 2015, his unbeaten 92 helped India beat South Africa by a narrow margin.

14 - The number of games won by India in Madhya Pradesh from 21 ODIs in Indore, Gwalior. At the Roop Singh stadium in Gwalior, India have won eight and lost just two games. While they are unbeaten in Indore, they have lost two out of seven ODIs at the old Nehru stadium, with three losses, one tie and one no-result.
