Ten personnel of the Haryana Armed Police were killed on Wednesday when the mini-bus in which they were travelling collided with a truck in Mahendragarh district.

Ten other police personnel, including the mini-bus driver, were injured in the accident that took place near Raghunathpura village on the Narnaul-Singhana road.
The police personnel, who were undergoing training for promotion as assistant sub-inspectors, were returning to the Haryana Armed Police headquarters at Madhuban near Karnal after they had finished their firing training session at Raghunathpura.
Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda expressed his shock at the death of the police personnel. He announced a compensation of Rs 300,000 to the next of kin of those who died and Rs.50,000 to those injured in the accident.
Hooda said that the families of the killed personnel would also get all benefits admissible for regular serving personnel.
