The denial from the Aussie bowling great came almost a week after news reports quoted Paul Barry's biography on him suggesting so.

Warne said that his staggering track record was “not as extensive” and that it was exaggerated in the book. “The only thing I will say about Paul Barry's book is there are a lot of inaccuracies about it, a lot of exaggerations……..the 1000 women thing - an exaggeration. There are just so many inaccurate facts in there that are totally untrue,” the Daily Telegraph quoted him as saying.

Warne said that he would not take legal action against Barry, because it was not worth it. “Can't be bothered. There are more important things in life than worrying about people who make up stuff,” he added.

He, however, called on Barry to make a donation to the Shane Warne Foundation charity. “He says he didn't want to make money out of it - then what did he do it for if he didn't want to make money out of it? If he is true to his word, most of his facts are wrong and untrue, he should donate some or the majority of the money,” Warne said.

In the book, the author also claims that when Warne had just completed his teens, he had exposed himself in front of three young women.
