12-year-old student sets himself ablaze
A Class 6 student died after he allegedly set himself ablaze on the terrace of his house in Faridabad on Monday.

Police said when Santosh, 12, returned to his Subhash Nagar home from school, he went to the terrace, sprinkled kerosene on his body and set himself afire.
He died on way to a hospital in Delhi. The body has been handed over to the family after post-mortem.
Police said when Santosh’s younger brother Deepak saw him on fire, he tried to pour water in a bid to save him. His mother and neighbours doused the flames and rushed him to a private hospital in Faridabad.
As his condition was critical, he was referred to a government hospital and later to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi.
Police said the boy was very weak in studies and his teacher had briefed his parents about his case.
