13 police constables dismissed

Thirteen Uttar Pradesh Police constables were dismissed from service for allegedly using fake documents and affidavits during the erstwhile Samajwadi Party government in the state.

A senior police official Rajesh Modak told reporters in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday that these constables had been recruited during the previous regime and were posted in different places in the district.

He said that an inquiry was conducted into the recruitment following complaints of irregularities and it was revealed that several of them had used fake documents and affidavits.
