14 people injured in Agra clash

At least 14 people were injured on Wednesday when villagers and followers of a religious sect clashed over possession of land in Lalgarhi area near Agra.

At least 14 people were injured on Wednesday when villagers and followers of a religious sect clashed over possession of land in Lalgarhi area near Agra.

Residents of Lalgarhi allegedly attacked the satsangis, adherents of the Radhasoami sect, when they came to the village to collect food and water. A bus and jeep were also burnt down by protesters.

A case has been registered, he said.

Police said the clash between the two sides took place over possession of several acres of land in the area.
