17 positive cases of H1N1; Karna total rises to 1228
Seventeen fresh cases of H1N1 influenza were reported in Karnataka on Thursday, taking the number of such patients to 1,228, while 110 people have succumbed to the disease in the state so far.

Seventeen fresh cases of H1N1 influenza were reported in Karnataka on Thursday, taking the number of such patients to 1,228, while 110 people have succumbed to the disease in the state so far.
Out of the 17 cases, 14 were reported from Bangalore and one each from Gadag, Belgaum and Bijapur respectively, health officials said.
With this, the total number of confirmed flu cases has mounted to 1,228, they said, adding, throat culture samples of 5,394 suspected cases have been analysed so far.
