As against a buffer stock of 264 lakh tonne, FCI's stock has risen to 625 lakh tonne out of which 180 lakh tonne is rotting, Kirit Somaiya, BJP General Secretary, told reporters here.
He said huge quantity of foodgrain was rotting in FCI godowns in Rajasthan and blamed the Central government for it.
1,73,199 tonne of foodgrain is rotting in Rajasthan FCI godowns alone, he claimed.
