The Narcotic Drugs Control Unit of Nepal Police acting on a tip-off found the hashish hidden inside a false bottom in the jeep of the Indian nationals at Wadbhanjyang in western Kathmandu on Thursday and subsequently arrested them, state-run Nepal Television said on Friday.

The Indians both belonging to Uttar Pradesh have been identified as Bharat Gupta, 26, of Gorakhpur and Om Prakash Singh, 26, of Khalilabad.

An inquiry has been ordered into the smuggling of such large quantities of narcotics, it said.
