But Deepesh Juneja, DIG Agra said, poisonous grain preservative tablets were found near the bodies and there were no injury marks, “We are awaiting the autopsy report and will investigate accordingly.”
The bodies were found in the district’s Naya Bans village, around 45 km from Agra town, in the ravines near Utangan and Khari rivers.
According to the police, Vasudev (19) and Suman (16) were in love but the girl’s family opposed their alliance and forcibly got her engaged to another boy four days ago.
The two reportedly went missing on Sunday night and their bodies were found on Monday by the boy’s parents and some villagers.
The disappearance of the girl’s father and uncle, who have reportedly fled the village, have roused suspicions.
