In a way, it is a little premature to foretell anything since the Chinese New Year begins on February 9, 2005 which, by the way, is my marriage anniversary. We mark the Chinese New Year because Feng Shui, the ancient science of geomancy began in China, but seeing that its popularity has crossed the manmade boundaries one can celebrate the New Year – whether in India, UK, USA, Canada, South Africa or wherever you happen to live -- the oriental way!

Ichiro Yamamoto, my Japanese client (read about him at http://www.fengshuimiracle.com), tells me that Japanese have a tradition of laughing all the way. As soon as the clock strikes midnight they start to laugh. Japanese believe that it brings laughter and good luck in their life. The Chinese, of course, begin with clearing the clutter and creating space for new thing to come in their life.

Like the Roman God Janus (January got its name from Janus) who could look forward and backward at the same time, this is the time we can take a look at the past and look forward to the future. Look at the past, reliving the moments of joy, realising the futility of worrying about future and assessing the year gone.

What will it be like in 2005?

For those born in the year of the Rat
Though the entire year of Rooster is going to be superlative for you, December is the month when you will see even your wildest dreams and fantasies turning into reality. You have the tenacity to work unceasingly for success and this will be an asset for you. Besides December, April and August are going to bring good tidings for you. Your equation with Dragons, Monkeys, Goats and Rabbits will be very harmonious bringing you a solid partnership or a happy loving relationship.

For those born in the year of Ox
You do not have to wait for a long time to reach your goal whether in career or in personal life. January is the month, which will bring you closer to something very exciting. It can be in your love life or related to your business or career. You will realise your full potential this year. The good fortune of January will repeat itself in May and October. You will benefit by associating with Snakes, Roosters and Rats, avoiding the Goats.

For those born in the year of Tiger
The unfulfilled desires of the year gone will be yours by October though even February and June are going to be lucky months for you. However, you may find yourself worrying a little and feeling low in the Month of August. This will be a temporary phase, as September will indicate to you. Association with Horses and Dogs will benefit you but be wary of the Monkeys.

For those born in the year of Rabbit
You will be grinning from ear to ear, blessed by the good fairy that will appear partial to you especially in the month of March, July and November. If you wish to start any new endeavour the right month is July. Be extremely careful from those born in the year of Rooster in this year. This is the year of the Rooster and you do not have affinity with this bird. For helping you out against the Rooster, you can seek help of the Goats, Rats and Pigs.

For those born in the year of Dragon
The New Year will begin with a bad memory of a medical problem but with a bang. You will be in good form and perfect health. Love and Wealth will make this a memorable year for you. The months to look forward to are April, August and December. October too will bring cheers. Be careful while dealing with those born in the year of Dog. Those who will be especially useful to you are Rats, Rabbits and Monkeys.
