The police have recovered a suicide note in which the students allegedly blamed the college management for their drastic decision.
Police have made no arrests yet. The matter is being investigated, police sources said.
The incident comes days after a student of Central University of Hyderabad, Rohith Vemula, allegedly committed suicide after he and his four friends were suspended by the authorities from the hostel after a fight with ABVP activists in the campus.
The Hyderabad incident has sparked nation-wide outrage with the Opposition targeting Union ministers Smriti Irani and Bandaru Dattatreya for allegedly pressurising the university authorities to suspend the five students.
