4-day cultural fest starts

The four-day annual cultural festival of HP University (Group-2) started here on Tuesday in which teams from 35 colleges of the state are taking part.

The four-day annual cultural festival of HP University (Group-2) started here on Tuesday in which teams from 35 colleges of the state are taking part.

During the festival, the students will take part in classical music, folk songs, western solo, ghazals and group songs.

Hamirpur district police chief BM Sharma inaugurated the festival and called upon the students to imbibe among them the sense of hard work among them to achieve their wanted goals.

He said nothing was possible without hard work.

Earlier, PC Patyal, principal of the local college, gave details of the cultural festival and said Hamirpur College was taking lead in organising various sorts of functions right from sports to cultural activities and educational activities.
Students of various colleges presented their programmes.
